I will start by saying I’m not a Christian, but our synagogue does not allow the unvaccinated to attend services, and it hasn’t been a problem at all among members. I would think that many of the same principles apply to both groups. Worshippers are a community and need to care for each other the same way they do when a fellow worshipper is in need- I’m sure you’ve seen congregants rally around someone who is sick or dealing with tragedy. They also have a responsibility to make church (or whatever house of worship) a place where everyone who wants to worship feels completely safe in doing so. Making someone who wants to worship feel they cannot do so for fear of getting sick just so you can flex your personal freedom for the sake of it? Not acceptable. I applaud this pastor for taking a stand. I understand the strong language being needed to make a point.
